Different pets may react differently to the fireworks.

While some dogs may completely ignore the loud bangs and be happy with their regular routine, other dogs may shake or want to go and hide somewhere safe, like behind the sofa or under a bed.

Well done Puppy Love , Puppy Alert and Hope UK the media attention you have gained for the puppy farm dogs has enlightened so many, many people . Ignore the critics because as the saying goes
Those who can -- do. Those who can't -- criticize

Talk is cheap but your evidence is out there and is bringing about change for the dogs .

So Puppylove have aligned themselves with Marc Abrahams, do they not know that the K.C. will accept any registration irrespective of whether the breeder is ethical or unlicensed. I sent Marc a copy of the complaints against the K.C. and I have all the written paperwork here, letters to and from the K.C. to disgusted owners who have lost their dogs. Some were from the K.C. Puppy list. I have not heard from Marc since my email to him on 8th March 2009.

As he is the veterinary adviser to the K.C. he will not upset the applecart by going against the K.C. and possibly losing his job.

So, the three organisations who set up puppy awareness day were nowhere to be seen. The hypocrisy of these organisations, Hope UK, Puppy Alert and Puppy Love which are neither Charities nor registered with Companies House should step away from the limelight as they have achieved nothing apart from media attention.

We are all working hard to put the Puppy Farms out of business. Hopefully next year there will be no need for a Puppy farm awareness day.
Can the Kennel club stop registering these pups and check on the breeders of dogs. People would then know the pups dont come from a proper breeder and with education would know to walkl away and safe themselves heartbreak..

We could have a big party to celebrate the end of them though.

How nice to see the team from Pro Dogs Direct at the party. I cannot speak highly enough of the work this small, but formidable team do. They work tirelessly, not just with rehoming in their areas, but taking and rehoming ex-breeding bitches, from here in West Wales. In addition to this, they actively campaign against puppy farming on their website.

If anyone has any spare time, or spare funds to donate, to this charity, your time and money will be repaid many times over.

Thank you Pro Dogs for all the hard work. Animal rescue is lucky to have you.

I sincerely hope there will be no need for puppy farming awareness day by next year. With a concerted effort puppy farming will be greatly reduced. Disappointed that Puppy Love, the organiser of the Awareness day, was not present to inform and advise.

I won a goldfish-in-a-bag at a fairground today, on 'hook a duck'! Although I felt bad at first for endorsing this kind of trade, the fish I chose looked quite terrified (darting about the bag, gasping at the surface) so I immediately took it home as I only live 2 minutes away. I consider it a rescue of sorts.

I have kept goldfish some years before so know the basics at least, and I have already ordered my tank & starter kit from the internet, so 'Finlay' will have a happy (and hopefully long) life.

Unfortunately I noticed many naive parents winning fish for their small children, who blatently didn't have a clue what to do with them. I urge people to think carefully about owning a goldfish, they are not just a novelty and in some cases can be a 20-30 year responsibility.

Enjoy these beautiful creatures... and thanks for the easy-to-follow info on this site. :-)
